Specialist music programs

Our specialist music programs offer students the opportunity to explore a wide variety of musical instruments, guided by experienced instructors. Through engaging lessons, students develop skills in playing a variety of instruments and gain a strong foundation in reading musical notation. These programs nurture creativity, technical proficiency, and a deep appreciation for music, empowering students to express themselves and connect with others through sound.

The Premier’s Reading Challenge

Our school is proud to participate in the Premier’s Reading Challenge, a wonderful program designed to inspire students to read more and discover the joy of books. Through the Challenge, students set personal reading goals and explore a wide variety of stories and information texts, enhancing their literacy skills and imagination. It’s a fantastic way to foster a lifelong love of reading and learning. We encourage all students to get involved and enjoy the adventure that reading offers!

Specialist sport programs

Our specialist sports lessons provide students with expert coaching across a range of sports, helping them develop skills, fitness, and teamwork. These lessons focus on building technique, confidence, and a love for physical activity, encouraging students to achieve their personal best.

Leadership programs

Our school offers a range of leadership opportunities for our older students, providing them with the chance to develop important skills such as responsibility, teamwork, and communication. Through roles such as peer mentoring, event coordination, and taking responsibility for managing and caring for school resources, students can make a positive impact on our school community while building confidence and preparing for future challenges.

Talent Quest

Our Talent Quest is a special opportunity for High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) students to showcase their exceptional talents and creativity. Designed to challenge and inspire, this event encourages students to explore and present their unique skills—whether in music, performance, or other areas of excellence. The Talent Quest supports the development of confidence, innovation, and self-expression, while celebrating the diverse abilities within our HPGE community.

Public Speaking Competitions

Our Public Speaking Contest provides students with a valuable opportunity to develop and showcase their communication skills, confidence, and critical thinking. This event encourages participants to express their ideas clearly and persuasively on a variety of topics, helping them build poise and self-assurance in front of an audience. The contest fosters creativity, active listening, and respectful dialogue, empowering students to become confident speakers and effective leaders both in and beyond the classroom.

Coding and robotics program

Our school’s coding and robotics program is an important part of the High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) offering. It gives students the chance to develop problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and creativity through engaging coding projects and challenges. This program supports our commitment to nurturing students’ talents and encouraging them to explore their interests in technology. Textiles Club

Our school’s textiles club provides students with opportunities to develop creativity, attention to detail, and practical skills through hands-on projects in sewing, design, and fabric work. Dance Troupe
